ScrapingBee (TinySeed Spring 2020) Acquired by Oxylabs' Group in 8-Figure All-Cash Deal
We're thrilled to announce that ScrapingBee, a leading web scraping API platform, has been acquired by Oxylabs’ group in an 8-figure all-cash deal.
ScrapingBee was founded by Kevin Sahin and Pierre de Wulf, who graduated from TinySeed's Spring 2020 accelerator program. The platform offers developers a transparent, easy-to-use, and high-performance web scraping solution, serving thousands of customers who rely on their service for both personal and professional projects.
For TinySeed, this acquisition delivers another successful exit, reinforcing our position as a top performing fund, and accelerating the capital return timeline to our investors. ScrapingBee’s successful exit underscores the effectiveness of our model: invest early in driven, bootstrapped SaaS founders and help them scale.
TinySeed Co-Founder and General Partner Rob Walling shared his excitement:
"Pierre and Kevin have demonstrated extraordinary vision and execution from the start. The acquisition by Oxylabs’ group is a testament to their relentless work ethic and exceptional product focus. We're proud to have supported ScrapingBee through this exciting journey."
As part of the acquisition, ScrapingBee will continue operating as a separate product and entity within Oxylabs' group. Both Pierre and Kevin will remain with the company to ensure continuity and drive future growth. The acquisition will enable ScrapingBee to enhance their offering through improved infrastructure, expanded customer support, and accelerated product development.
Reflecting on their time in the accelerator, co-founder Kevin Sahin shared:
"TinySeed was incredibly helpful for us, especially in the early days. We learned so much across all areas of B2B SaaS—marketing, pricing, sales, and more.
The mastermind group was a game changer: sharing ideas with like-minded founders who were facing the same challenges at the same stage made a huge difference.
The community is also a gold mine. Any time we ran into a problem, we could tap into the combined experience of hundreds of other founders and mentors."
Congratulations to Kevin, Pierre, and the entire ScrapingBee team on this remarkable achievement!
