Protecting your private information is our priority. This Privacy Policy applies to tinyseed.com and governs how TinySeed collects, uses, and shares information. By using the TinySeed website, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you apply to our programs, sign up for our email list, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, and information about your company, product, and co-founders.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information through cookies and similar tracking technologies, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring/exit pages.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

Essential cookies — required for the site to function properly.
Analytics — we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site, including which pages are viewed and how visitors arrived at our site.
Advertising — we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure the effectiveness of our LinkedIn advertising and to build retargeting audiences for future campaigns.
Email marketing — we use Drip to manage our email list and to understand engagement with our email communications.

Your choices. When you first visit our site, you'll see a cookie banner that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Our analytics and advertising cookies (including the LinkedIn Insight Tag, Drip, and Google Analytics) do not load until you affirmatively accept them through this banner. You can change your preference at any time using the "Manage Cookies" link in our site footer, or by adjusting your browser settings to block cookies (note that some site features may not function properly if you do).

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Operate, maintain, and improve our website and programs
Communicate with you about our accelerator, SaaS Institute, MicroConf community, and related services
Understand aggregate usage patterns and improve our marketing
Comply with legal obligations

Sharing Information with Third Parties

TinySeed does not sell your personal information for money. We share information with the following categories of service providers, who are contractually restricted from using it for any purpose other than providing services to TinySeed:

Google (Google Analytics) — for website analytics
LinkedIn — for advertising measurement and retargeting. Under California law, sharing information with LinkedIn for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a "share" of personal information, even though no money changes hands. See "Your California Privacy Rights" below for how to opt out.
Drip — for email marketing and communications
Service providers who help us process applications, schedule calls, process payments, and manage internal workflows — these providers are contractually limited to using your information solely to provide services to TinySeed

We may also disclose your information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

Right to know what personal information we've collected, used, and shared about you
Right to delete personal information we've collected from you
Right to correct inaccurate personal information
Right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (this covers our use of the LinkedIn Insight Tag)
Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights

To opt out of sharing for advertising purposes, decline non-essential cookies in our cookie banner, or use the "Manage Cookies" link in our footer. This will prevent the LinkedIn Insight Tag from loading on your future visits.

To exercise your right to know, delete, or correct, contact us at hello@tinyseed.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We'll respond within the timeframe required by law and may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including SSL encryption, to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

TinySeed does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
