TinySeed Europe: Everything You Need to Know

A few months ago we announced TinySeed Europe, a dedicated accelerator program for European time zones. Since then we’ve been busy working to turn those plans into reality. Now as we enter 2022, here’s an update on how things will unfold over the next few months.

$10 million raised to fund 50 bootstrapped SaaS companies

First off, we’re excited to share that we’ve reached our goal of $10 million raised for the new TinySeed Europe fund.

What does this mean?

With this first fund, we expect to invest in and support around 50 independent SaaS companies over the next 2-3 years. We are very excited to be able to expand into this region and we see this as a launching pad for future funds with a similar focus.

What’s new?

With the new TinySeed Europe accelerator program, we’ll be able to give founders in these time zones the capital, advice, mentorship, and community they need to grow their companies faster. Here’s what that looks like:

We’ve hired a Europe-based Program Manager

We recently welcomed Alex McQuade to the TinySeed team! Alex will be the first point-of-contact for folks, ensuring they have the best accelerator experience possible. Alex has a long history of working with bootstrapped companies, as well as experience running one of his own. We’re over the moon to have him on board.

We’re welcoming all EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) startups to apply

We’re open to accepting any qualified startups that are based in European time zones, even if you’re not in a European country. So if you’re somewhere in the GMT to GMT+3 time range, we’d love to hear from you.

Stay incorporated in your home country

Having to re-incorporate in the U.S. is likely a non-starter for you. No problem! While we may not be able to support incorporation in every country, we are doing what we can to support as many countries as possible.

All of our calls will be scheduled during European work hours

No need for complex time zone math. We’ll be holding our calls during European business hours.

Founder retreats will be located in Europe

In-person retreats are a chance for founders to meet and build long lasting relationships with each other. We’ll be designing a completely new schedule of retreats for our European cohorts across a variety of interesting cities.

We’ll be introducing more European-focused mentors

One of the strengths of TinySeed is our incredible mentor network. While you will have access to our existing mentors, we’ll be adding new Europe-based mentors and experts on relevant regional topics.

What’s staying the same?

At the heart of it, our main goal with TinySeed Europe is to adjust how the program is organized to make it possible for European companies to participate with the same ease that North and South Americans have been able to for the past three years.

At the same time, we’re maintaining the most important aspects of the program.

Here are some core aspects of TinySeed you can continue to expect:

A year long accelerator program

We’ll continue to follow the same year-long accelerator schedule with in-person retreats scheduled throughout the year.

The TinySeed Playbook

Presentations, best practices, and one-on-one help provided by the TinySeed team, covering important SaaS topics such as pricing, hiring, funnels, lead generation, and more.

Group mentorship

Regularly scheduled calls with experienced startup founders like Rand Fishkin, Jordan Gal, and Laura Roeder, and subject-matter experts like Joanna Wiebe on copywriting, Samuel Hulick on onboarding, and April Dunford on positioning.

Investment Terms

You can expect the same investment terms as our Americas program.

Relationship building

Not only will you build lasting relationships with the other founders in your batch, but you’ll also join our TinySeed Slack where you can connect and get advice from past and current TinySeed founders across all regions.

Applications for both TinySeed Europe and TinySeed Americas are now open from January 24th to February 6th.
