TinySeed-backed SeekWell Has Been Acquired by ThoughtSpot

We’re thrilled to share that our portfolio company SeekWell was acquired by ThoughtSpot, representing TinySeed’s first firm to announce an exit.

Together, SeekWell and ThoughtSpot have an opportunity to fix a problem that hampers how businesses sift through enormous amounts of disjointed data to find valuable insights. SeekWell was founded by Mike Ritchie and Thabo Fisher, who graduated from TinySeed’s 2020 accelerator program.

By combining forces, SeekWell and ThoughtSpot users will have more useful information flowing into the tools they frequently use to make decisions: business applications.

Using natural language search, customers can pull info from data warehouses, modify it with productivity apps like Google Sheets, target audiences with apps like Facebook Audiences, and sync it with business apps like Salesforce. As they grow, ThoughtSpot plans to continue adding app integrations to help users leverage their labyrinths of data.

The Federal Trade Commission estimates the app economy is creating nearly $1 trillion in annual value and expects that to continue growing. That’s great news for SeekWell and ThoughtSpot, which already works with big brands like Walmart, Hulu, Bank of the West, Medtronic, Siemens, and more.

From my first conversation with Mike and Thabo, it was obvious they were solving a problem they cared deeply about. They bootstrapped to early traction in a crowded space and were a great fit for our 2020 accelerator batch. It’s been a pleasure working with them as they’ve executed on their vision over the past year, growing quickly in the process.
— Rob Walling, TinySeed founder

Similar to the enthusiasm he brought to our accelerator batch, Mike Ritchie is eager to fix a problem he’s seen for years:

Throughout my career, I saw the incredible impact software engineers were making on their companies. Despite the massive opportunity to do the same with data, most analysts were trapped building dashboards that failed to move the needle for their organization. By bringing together engineering and data while eliminating costly and time-consuming overhead, SeekWell rights that wrong.

ThoughtSpot shares this mission of empowering businesses to more effectively leverage their data while having the same culture that puts customers at the center of everything we do. I’m so excited to see what we do together to help organizations turn their data to action at unprecedented scale.”

Cheers to a fruitful partnership, SeekWell and ThoughtSpot! Learn more about ThoughtSpot and SeekWell’s partnership here.
