FinChat (TinySeed Fall 2022 Cohort) Secures $1.5 Million to Expand AI-Powered Stock Research Platform

FinChat, a subscription-based public equity research platform, has raised $1.5 million USD in seed funding from experienced American FinTech investor Social Leverage.

We invested in Stratosphere in our Fall 2022 accelerator program, and their recent launch of FinChat in April 2023 quickly exceeded our wildest expectations. We’ve had a front-row seat to the remarkable journey of this Toronto-based FinTech startup led by Braden Dennis, co-founder of The Canadian Investor Podcast.

I’m thrilled to see FinChat’s recent raise – it’s a testament to the team’s potential and the innovative strides they are making in AI-driven investment research.
— Rob Walling, TinySeed GP and Co-Founder

Founded by a visionary team comprising Dennis, CTO Ryan White, COO Adrian Iwanicki, and CPO Kevin Bojan, FinChat has established itself as a subscription-based public equity research platform. Catering to both retail investors and professional portfolio managers, it offers a self-serve product that simplifies the research process through AI automation.

Furthermore, FinChat provides a versatile application programming interface (API) for trading platforms and investment firms, enabling them to integrate AI-driven chat experiences seamlessly. By streamlining data retrieval and analysis, FinChat empowers investment analysts to redirect their focus towards more strategic endeavors.

FinChat recently secured $1.5 million in seed funding from Social Leverage, an experienced American FinTech investor, bringing its total funding to $1.75 million, including previous pre-seed financing from TinySeed and other investors.

We’re excited for FinChat’s future, and extend our biggest congratulations to their team with this fundraise.
